I can’t remember most of the game so I’m just going to pin all the blame on botta and landajo and hopefully it’s in the right area.

In all seriousness it felt a very business performance. Some parts were shite but on the whole there was a clear margin showing who was the big boys in charge.whatever happens now I think we’ve had a great season now we saw sense getting rid of that shambles Gustard. The other highlight is the cutest ginger cat wanting strokes from
Me on the college end of things. Cats are an excellent judge of character

Given he carries and scores tries as well as tackles, at his current rate of development I could see us ending next season with 6. Kenningham, 7. Evans, 8. Dombrandt being our preferred back row. All fit and in form, that has something of the feel of a modern day Hill / Back / Dallaglio.
Are you forgetting big Chis? We have an abundance of open sides (could Luke find old form?) and the worry will be retaining Evans and Kenningham...

The back row roster for next year is:
Chisholm 6 or 8
Dombrandt 8
Evans 7
Kenningham 6 or 7
Lawday 6 or 8
Wallace 6 or 7
White 6, 7 at a push
Plus Parisse is rumoured. Lamb is still listed as a back row but is clearly being picked as a lock.

7 or 8 players feels about right given we’d normally expect to have injuries. 3 players covering each position leaves us with enough permutations that it would take a major injury crisis to prevent us putting out a balanced back row. I’m not discounting Chis, but I’m worried that injuries are catching up with him - he’s played the least of all the senior back rowers this season - 11 games vs 14 for White and 11 for Kenningham (albeit Chis has averaged more minutes when he has appeared).

If the clubs is smart it will get Kenningham on a 3 year senior contract sharpish. We’ve got the back row resources to manage his game time and not let the injuries build up, but at the same time to give him plenty of opportunity in a club that suits his playing style.

I thought he was seen as a lock?

PG said we were viewing him as a BR, and when he came on against Ulster he slotted in there (if memory serves)

Caught up on the game. Some very odd stuff from Ridley. Same old defensive lapses at times, but generally pretty pleasing and it was clear we were the much better side
