I still don't understand why Sarries got the penalty simply because Care apparently started it. Retaliation normally sees the penalty reversed.

I think there may be a citing or two after this game. Just a feeling, before anyone gets antsy and demands chapter and verse.

It was a poor bit of reasoning. Liam Williams got shoved out of the ruck area, then illegally took out Care, before jamming the arm in his throat.

Thought Sarries were very unlucky with the Vunipola try being chalked off, but then JP gave them about 3 hours to release 2 phases earlier when Dombrandt was all over the ball. There were several really dumb penalties we gave away, and some baffling decisions by JP - can anyone explain the penatly against Earle for not rolling away when 1) someone had immediately dived on top of him and 2) the ball was BEHIND him on the Saracens side anyway?!

I'd be angrier if our own ill discipline wasn't such a problem. Gosh we gave away some stupid penalties. And the subs largely did themselves no favours. Alofa is no Marchant, Boyce is certainly no Marler, and Ward is no rugby player.

The Gloucester game and the rubbish served up today has shown what a useless DOR gustard is, he is making jk look good at the moment and his signings for next season will make us struggle not to finish bottom next season, all my predictions of finishing top 4 have gone out of the window because the smug arrogant twit can’t pick a team to beat a basically second string sarries side, believe me that his own self indulgence will keep our great club struggling

Yes I have because I can see that because of what’s happening in the camp is making us fall apart due to gustards obnoxious arrogance

Crumpton back soon thankfully

Crumpton was back this week, just not selected.

Silly choice by coaches

Exactly. Care shoves Williams away from the ruck - I think he was offside anyway. Williams then dives at Care, taking him out, and shoves an elbow into him after Care pulls him down.

Penalty Sarries. No sanction for the fact that it was retaliation.

And the next time Doyle shouts "Use it" at a ruck, I'll go and put the kettle on.

Obnoxious arrogance? Care to cite some examples? 4th at this stage of the season suggests some things are going reasonably well vs last year and that PG isn’t doing everything wrong.

Arniepie, I am guessing from your spot on info that you have an ear to the squad/club some how.  Can you elaborate on the PG comments?? Is all not well on the good ship Quins??

That is a bad move unless Crumpton is injured. Our best Hooker

Or not fit enough to play but not last the full 80 if required.

Sorry arniepie, but I absolutely disagree with most of this post.

A good chunk of the signings we’ve made are exactly what we need to win these kind of games. For example, Baldwin and Lewies will improve our lineout (which will be a major boost) and Campagnaro would either have started instead of Chisholm or come on for Marchant instead of Alofa.

I don’t know how you’d class that as a ‘second string Sarries side’ either? OK, Farrell and Kruis we’re rested and Itoje is injured, but beyond that, it was pretty much their first choice lineup full of international players.

We had a poor second half, but we were fairly good in the first and came out of a game I didn’t expect us to win with a losing BP. It could have been a lot worse.

I don’t think we can compare Gustard and Kingston at all. Very odd indeed.

I thought first half we were pretty comfortable tbh, good lead going in to HT.  Second half the momentum changed and we could not get a hold of it.  Skelton and Billy V caused us plenty of problems but we held firm for the most part.  One major problem for us was not being able to protect the ball.  LOs were a weapon for Sarries to turn us over and how many times did we lose it forward??  You cant give up that much ball, let alone against one of the best sides in Europe.  Add to that the poor discipline and I am actually amazed we did not lose by more.  Bad performance - yes, bad result - not so much so, would have taken that before the game, end of the world - def not.  Would not swap our place with any of those below us
