I dont think we suffer that many more injuries than most sides tbh.

We knew we were short at Lock and this could happen. Now these players have a chance to stake their claim.

When I first read this, I saw Botica not Botta. And I was reminded of Botica's daft kick in February 2016 which allowed Ben Foden to score a try and for Saints to then beat us.

I'm glad you clarified which daft Botica kick... it could have been one of many!

Those saying Tizard is too young are very quiet today, alongside the Gustard Out brigade

In fairness one Swallow dosent make a summer. Doing that level of performance over the next 3-4 games will be the decisive factor

Agreed. I've been making the case for Tizard, but largely because I've felt that Young is too lightweight. My perception has been that we've struggled to muscle up if both Lewies and Symons aren't starting.

Tizard had a fine game yesterday but it was a loose  game and Saints didn't but any real pressure on our set piece,  particularly maul defence which has been an achilles heel of ours. It'll be interesting to see how Tizard gets on against some of the tougher and more wiley packs in the league.

Still, we saw enough yesterday to suggest that Gustard should have no fear playing him. I'm sure he'll get more minutes as he's integrated into the first team over the course of the season.
