It is confusing as Swuel us injured but not on that list

He's not injured is he? He's just as rubbish as we've thought for the past two years.

Is that the royal 'we' as I've always thought he was a decent enough squad player still in developement

Yeah ok he's not rubbish but I was dead excited on his first season promise and I think that JK and the coaching staff then messed about with him and tried to turn him into Brown's replacement at 15 (or is that 11). So actually think he deserves a crack at 10 at some point -- but lord knows with Cat etc what's happening.

Swiel was pretty good for the A team. Surprised not to see Semi in the 23.

As long as we get the win there will be plenty of semis at the ground.

I think that Swiel could be the perfect person to have on the bench. He can cover FH, FB or wing.  He is seriously quick. His kicking from the tee is better than average.  His kicking from the hand isn't bad.  Generally looks ok.
I consider Ross Chisholm in the same category.
Both Ross and Tim have come onto the field and changed the momentum of the game and we have won games.

But ultimately, the issue is with the "not considered" list sowing confusion. You'd think it would be simple, but the list seems to over-complicate things unnecessarily...

Swirl was good, but went off, presumably injured after 20 min.

Visser worked hard as usual, and the new No 8 looks excellent.

That said we have a good back line and an impact full bench.  Getting Horwill back will make a big difference

I suppose the question should be - is there anyone we think is fit, that we also think should be in the 22.

I've watched the A-League and thought Semi was uninspiring - he just kept picking the ball up at the ruck and going on his own.
Jack Kenningham(SP?) has had much more impact
Luamanu - was awful (no surprise)
Swiel - looks useful but not getting in ahead of Smith or Lang
Visser - not sure he does enough to convince Gussy of a place

It appears that there is a hierarchy in the squad at the moment - injuries and form will change that.

Lamb is ahead of Glynn
Lasike ahead of Alofa
Walker, Earle ahead of Visser
Mulchrone ahead of Lewis

Awful is a bit strong for Luamanu

Awful is a bit strong for Luamanu

For a bloke of his size, he persistently failed to bludgeon A league opposition and break the gain line. Was very disappointing on Monday

So is it Swiel, Swuel or Swirl? I'm confused.

Agree he wasn’t ‘awful’, but also agree he never seems to be dominant in his carrying. He’s been well overtaken by Bothma and Chis at 8, but isn’t even the kind of impact player that would be ideal. Moving him to lock seems sensible.

Luamanu won't have as much impact from lock. When he joined us he seemed to be swatting players off, and making ground. Last season he seemed to be doing not so well, but that could be said about most of the squad.

Whatever people think of Big Mat, he continues to be selected in the Samoa squad. Maybe he just hasn't been used by Quins very well?
