I doubt that’s true. Season ticket holders make up only around 40% of the seats, and the club makes a lot of its match day income from food and drink sales; even if we all opted to donate, it would still be a long way down on its typical revenue for the season. I think they will be doing all they can to complete the season with as many fans in the ground as they can manage.

I think you may be out with that 40% figure. over the last decade or so, Membership/STH numbers have been regularly quoted as in the region of 8000 to 9000 most years. Even on the lower number, that's around 55%, rising to 60% for the higher number.

1 Metre+ Social distancing means only using every 3rd seat at least so the allowed crowd would then be a third of capacity? Certainly wouldn't be a loud crowd.

I think you’re right - I was writing from a clearly wonky memory. But it doesn’t alter the point that Season Ticket revenue is only a fairly small proportion of total matchday revenue, so is unlikely to influence whether they play the matches with fans.

Actually, come to think of it, in order to make the refund offer, they will need to have a pretty good idea of what’s going to happen to the matches for the rest of the season anyway. It only makes sense to offer a refund if they have some idea of the upper limit on how many fans can be at the ground for the remaining matches.

Possibly. But it might be possible to do more if they can work out how to let couples and family groups in.

9,000 x £30 = £270,000. That'll pay Manu for half a season.

You may be able to get more in than that by sitting people from the same household together ., then having a metre!

Just seen poorfour beat me to that point a good couple of hours ago.

But some people go to rugby to get away from their families!

My email from the club arrived today. There is a simple form to fill out with the options.
Quite an easy process.
It is not 100% clear though what would happen in the unlikely event that we were able to get back to the Stoop for the last 4 games.

There's mention in the email that if spectators are allowed back in under social distancing rules, then the club will likely run a ballot:

Quote from: From the email
Should PRL announce that supporters can attend any of the remaining 2019/20 matches at The Stoop, we will contact you immediately. If attendance is restricted, we will seek to run a ticket ballot to ensure you have priority access to attend.

Not - that I am overly worried - but . . .
Does that mean that if one has asked for a refund, and matches are again held at the Stoop, then, would that mean that one is excluded from the ballot?

I don't think they've finalised what any potential ballot rules would be, particularly as it's more than likely spectators may not be allowed in anyway.

Really can’t see spectators being let back in
That being said I’d hope that if they where it would only be the ones who have left their money with the club

That absolutely should not be part of the decision on who should be part of any ballot to attend.

anyone that purchased a season ticket is equally entitled to be part of the ballot, as is everyone regardless of the category of season ticket. In my opinion!

Why would someone that asked for a refund be excluded?
My expectation is we STHs have expressed a preference, those that ask for a credit or refund will only be given it when it is confirmed they cannot attend any of those games.
