I've got to say the CSW signing seems a strange one - unless we got him for a bargain as he has not played a minute in Prem and only minutes have been off bench in prem cup.

The likelihood is he would have signed on a 2 year deal and this may be partly explaining Tiz having to go as we just can't much what Salarycens are offering.

Dont forget he has been playing NFL for the past 4 years. Will take a while to get back into the swing of things. Plus I think he also had an injury that required an operation??

And off topic I know but what's the issue with Wilco?

Wilko shares down 10% year-on-year - footfall has dropped considerably since COVID...

Gutted but inevitable that we lose a few. Maybe it was a choice of keeping him or adding more to the pot for Dommers or Northmore. Not saying that is what happened but I may be with the reduced cap.

Pretty gutting as the guy has a lot of talent and looked to be the natural replacement for Symons.

But I don't blame the guy as I can imagine whoever is after him is got to be offering a lot more cash (and a free house ;) !

well we knew 10 days ago he is going Saracens sadly.

Same, but then I still have high hopes for Hammond if he can put on a bit of timber. I’ve said this before (not sour grapes), but I always thought he was the better prospect at age grade and Tizard’s quicker progress could simply be because he is more physically ready for senior rugby.

Tizard has done brilliantly for us and I think another example of how good our academy pathway coaches have been at transitioning players in to the first team at the right time for them.

Lamb was much slower to reach first team readiness than Tizard was and maybe Hammond will be the same. I assume we have him on the Dino diet right now.

He's gone for the cash. A real shame, but difficult to begrudge him I suppose, given it can be a very short career.

Taken in isolation this is very disappointing, but I'm sure there will be more contract extension announced soon and I'll reserve judgement on the retention/recruitment process until then. They'll be tough calls to make but I've got a lot faith in Laurie and Billy and I'm sure they're prioritising accordingly.

I posted on Twitter to one of the reports of him going:
"What a strange time for him to move and who on earth would want to go to a team like that as well! Would be the last place I'd want to go with their history!"
It's been liked by a certain Hugh Tizard...

So disappointing. He’s looking a real prospect. Hope he doesn’t end up in North London but it wouldn’t overly surprise me.

I guess it was a choice between offering him or Keningham a pro contract on a higher money band. Tizard could argue that he has eArned pro contract. However Keningham has excelled.

I expect CSW to hopefully make the position. His own. He is a brute of a second row and should dove tail with Dino and Lewies. Hopefully Hammond can back up Syomons and CSW at lock tight head.

TeddingtonQuin probably a reflection that he doesn’t want to move on but club are not matching money he feels his talents deserve.

Forwards moving from Quins to Saracens doesn't necessarily work, ask James Johnston (now at Rouen Pro2) and Josh Ibuanokpe (retired from rugby I think)
