What sort of reception do you think he is likely to receive - from the players and fans - on Saturday?

I can't see much of a problem. Joe Marler doesn't like him so probably won't rush to hug him, but in the professional game you're always bumping into ex-players now in other teams. I don't think the fans cared much that he'd gone, certainly I don't care at all that he's returning. Whatever his problems with the club were, they're not relevant to the new set up. So I think indifference will be the order of the day.

No reason to think anything but a pleasant reception.

There was an  incident in the Sale FC v Sale Jets pre-season.
That sort of behaviour has no place in rugby.
For clarity Jets are the Sharks Academy side and FC being the original club - now in National 1.

Lets show the Cheshire side we are better than that and treat Marland as any other opposition player.

Well I'm sure the one so-and-so is not reflective of Sale, so let's not get carried away. And I can't imagine why anyone would want to abuse Yarde anyway - he didn't leave or betray Quins in some way, he got the boot. It's also not like Sale are our great rivals, and finally I've never heard of a rugby player getting stick when they change sides and play their old side anyway.....

Generally I'm not sure what motivated the thread in the first place.

This is rugby, so I'd expect no particular animosity or otherwise. What are you expecting, brfc?

I should think he'll get the bird if he makes any high profile errors, but apart from that we're a pretty good-natured bunch.

“What motivated the thread?”

I was just interested as it was s pretty big story when we parted company with the player last season.

I agree, I don’t think there will be much reaction but I was interested to hear what others thought.

I was not suggesting he should be treated in a way outside of rugby values.
