TRP this week
« on: Sunday 26-May-2019, 10:07* »
According to Fissler we are looking for fly half, wing (Sinoti turned us down) and 2nd row. Wing is apparently a priority. As posted elsewhere not clear about Catrakilis but could be Southern Kings who are looking for fly half

Shame about sinoti. Would love to see him. No idea how old he is though.

Yes, shame about Sinoti.  There are exciting wings out there who seem to be in the market for a move such as Odogwu (Wasps?) and Radwan, but we already have players like that and need the physical, route one runner type of wing.

Yep. I agree with that.

Sinoti is powerful as well as being a stepper so could have been a good option. He’s old, but assuming Earle is back for 20/21, we don’t need him for too long.

I’m sure I’ll be laughed out of town for this suggestion, but Tom James could be an interesting option. He’s just been released by Cardiff Blues after some depression related issues, but it’s not long since he topped the Pro12 (pre-SA teams) try scoring chart and he is more like the powerful wing we need.

He’ll know Bomb and Baldwin and will have seen how the club has supported Marler with his mental health issues. Could be an interesting (and available) option IMO.

I know that’s 2 yrs ago, but he hasn’t played for one of those.

Sinoti didnt turn us down, he does not have a release clause in his contract so Newcastle wont let him go.  The other bit that caught my eye, Sam Davies of Ospreys is leaving, going to announce his new club next week.  We were linked with him recently.  I would happily take him.

Yeah. I’d take Sam Davies too.
