My opinion of Barbarians games is rock bottom to begin with, so I won't pretend that I care about the match itself. I have seen a few people on here and elsewhere talk about Robshaw risking "the sendoff his career deserves" or things to that effect... frankly, playing for a D-tier barbarians side against a heavily weakened England side in front of no fans is a terrible sendoff, so I'm not at all fussed by that. Still, for once, England actually do need this warmup and the players haven't been flogged, so it's a really dumb thing for the players to have done, unless completely misdirected by team instructions.

Idiots and should be fined by police as well if they have breached Covid regs

According to BBC and other sources they will be looking for players from all international UK squads.

Regulations state up to 15 people can meet for a business meeting in a restaurant. You could argue this was a business meeting to discuss match tactics.

Agree with jammy that this was hardly a star studded baabaas swan song. It's basically the sarries non-internationals and some Fijians. Pretty dire squad really. Still a shame that Chris now can't play, but his own fault. Not the loss it would have been though.

England shouldn't need a warm up to play Italy then Georgia

I am told that Chris Jones has said on BBC Sport that four of the players are Wigglesworth, Wray, Maitland and Robshaw.

Sad and surprised if Robshaw is involved.

This is as silly as Carling sabotaging his benefit year. The last many people will see of Chris's name in the paper will be over this. Shame.

How was this allowed to happen? 12 of them? Sounds like a mutiny!

I cant believe CR is involved: what was he thinking - kick to the corner?

RFU planning to charge the players with bringing the game into disrepute? Pretty silly really.

I realise the organisations are different, but PRL have been doing a pretty good job of bringing their competition into disrepute.

I still reckon that the fact that as many as 12 players went out suggests that they thought it allowed. Perhaps they were all just really dumb though / didn't care. Robshaw and Wigglesworth don't strike me as the sort of players who deliberately flout rules and disrupt camp. Sounds like a completely different scenario then recent stories of boozing from England camps.

Oh well, pointless game becomes slightly more pointless now. Some of the reactions on Twitter verge on the hysterical. The BaaBaas account itself must have commented about 100 times how disappointed they are and how these players have let everyone down. Lots of tedious talk about core values, lack of respect for team mates, etc. Just waiting for someone to accuse them of endangering lives.

Robshaw can now add this to the list of his major crimes. Taking bottle of champagne, kicking to the corner against the Messiah's wishes, going for a meal and worst of all, having a ripped shirt while captain of his country, lad

Agreed.

I do wonder if RFU action will deter the Police from taking action.

I'd rather that they started with fining those who made the laws and then broke them.
