Wales v England screening?
« on: Sunday 17-Feb-2019, 12:10* »
Heard a rumor yesterday that Quins might be showing game on a large screen possibly outside. Any one know any more to this before I call the club.

Might be an option assuming they can get an speady supply of decent ale available

Pay attention, 007!

Announced on Monday...

WALES V ENGLAND SCREENING AT THE STOOP
Monday, 11th February 2019 @ 18:30

ENJOY A FANTASTIC EVENING AT OUR HOME WITH A SIX NATIONS SPECIAL AFTER OUR MATCH AGAINST BRISTOL

Harlequins is putting on a big screen to show the Six Nations showdown between Wales and England on Saturday 23rd February after the Club’s match against Bristol Bears that afternoon (Kick-off: 14:00).

The epic encounter between the two unbeaten sides in the Six Nations starts at 16:45, allowing Harlequins supporters enough time to make their way from the stands to the South West corner where our bars will be open and food will be available to enjoy another 80 minutes of action as Eddie Jones’s side do battle in Cardiff.

So far England have enjoyed emphatic victories over Ireland and France - with Harlequins’ Kyle Sinckler giving barn-storming performances in both matches - while Wales enjoyed an incredible comeback to win in France before their triumph in Italy last weekend. The stage is set at the Millennium Stadium for a classic head-to-head.

Members will be able to enjoy the match in the Honours Bar. All seasonal box holders will be also be able to watch the match in their box. All lounge guests will be able to watch the match from the 1866 Lounge and a card bar will be available. The Debenture lounge will be open for all Debenture holders.

The Wales-England match will be a great way to round off your day at The Stoop on Saturday 23rd February after the men’s team have played Bristol Bears in their crucial Gallagher Premiership match.

Paul Gustard’s side sit third in the league and now have a an excellent opportunity to consolidate their position with back-to-back home matches. Worcester Warriors visit this Saturday (kick-off: 15:00) in our first Premiership match at The Stoop since we beat league leaders Exeter at the end of November, then we have the visit of Bristol, which promises to be such a wonderful occasion.

We would love to see as many families as possible for this incredible Double Header of top-class rugby on 23rd February and are delighted to be able to offer a Kids Meal Deal up to the value of £4.50 with every Junior ticket for this match. This offer is only available by calling 020 8410 6000 and quoting Kids Meal Deal.

On a more factual note - last time they did this the screen outside was totally hopeless. They didn’t turn it so you could see it and you had to watch from across the pitch - it also had no sound.

I assume they won’t do that again but it was awful and we all ended up inside the Kings - which meant no one could move.

But the highest form of intelligence....😀

On the upside the troll has now been banned so we can carry on chatting without someone stirring.

“Harlequins is putting on a big screen to show the Six Nations showdown between Wales and England”

But it doesn’t actually say where.

Assume maybe the projector one in Kings Bar - as I say last time the attempt to use the match screen was a total washout.

The announcement suggests that people will be watching in the SW corner where the food stands and bars are...
