Club Statement regarding Billy Vunipola

Well done for a swift response and restatement of values. This is nothing like as bad as the Folau comments, but he needs straightening out regarding posting on social media.

And his post is quoted here
RFU to meet Billy Vunipola over Israel Folau comments

I started a new thread as this is now the English RFU and an English club involved, but if you want me to merge this with the Folau thread, I will.

Given the precedent on Folau - England had better hope this doesn't happen again or he has to be cut.

I'm just very sad that a player I admire is now someone I don't want to hear from again other than if he can play rugby and keep his views on sexuality to himself.

Perhaps they will dock some of the money they aren't paying him outside the salary cap.

Sorry - couldn't resist.

Comment on Sarries board did make me chuckle a bit.

"Probably a good job we haven't got Nigel reffing the semi now. Unlikely to get too many 50/50 calls..."

I am bored to death with all these people taking about their sexuality - who gives a f''c

it is just the snowflake mentality where they think they are very important and everyone is interested int them and their lives

if he gets a ban he can spend more time with his company

another backward god botherer - this is the guy who is so bright he did not know there were bonus points in the last world cup

marlowish, your post is like Inception. I don't know where the quotes begin and end and there's quotes within quotes and it's almost hypnotising. Am I in gay conversion therapy?

Yes, marlowish. The way you've quoted things puts words into my mouth that I didn't say and don't support. Please could you fix.

As a card carrying Christian, with gay friends and a rugby fan I find these views repugnant. I'm all for having your own beliefs and views but that doesn't mean you need to share them.

I think Billy V is great and a must for England going forward but after this, he needs to be dropped until he learns to keep it to himself.

Being neither homosexual or Christian I find this situation a bit perplexing. Neither side of this seem to be tolerant of each others opinion or point of view, yet both will claim to be the voice of reason and to have right on their side. Can't we all just accept that some people hold different views and choose to live their lives differently, it's a bit like Brexit.

I see Joe Marler is at it again!

For some reason tweets don't load on chrome but are OK on internet explorer or edge.

Being tolerant of intolerance is a bit backwards.

Well no, that’s why we pass laws to prevent discrimination on the basis of sexuality because we live in a country that believes where you park your bits makes no difference to anything.

Like we don’t think it’s an equal point of view to say black people would be better if they were white.

Being gay isn’t a viewpoint.

Both sides of this debate are intolerant, that was my point. Where do you stand on intolerance of Christians?
