I don't want to be one but all too often over the last few years we have had a magnificent did not see that one coming victory followed by a defeat. I don't want to be to hard on this team because the very fact they have not had a pointless game this season speaks volumes about the improvement that has been made since that woeful end to the last campaign. But if this team really want to go places they have to put together a winning run every now and again, false dawns won't cut it. On the subject of winning runs a victory at Welford Road and yes i mean victory not "well at least we got a bonus point" and a Crimbo win at the big Stoop looking at the fixtures early in the new year a 5-6 game winning run is not beyond the realms of possibility. And if that was to happen then maybe we could all start to believe.
I am living in the moment and enjoying a fantastic win yesterday. Lost my voice and have a sore throat this morning. So proud to be a Quin and to support a magnificent team effort!
First win V Ex in last nine attempts so right now happy with that. We seem to have the ability to up our game now and again against the supposed bigger teams and then seem toothless against the ‘weaker’ ones so agree we need to have a run of wins to cement the improvements seen so far this season.

Really ?
Can I suggest you just enjoy a committed 80min performance against one of the most solid teams in the competition
What exactly is it that you want to start to believe in ?
3 months ago we were touted by many as relegation favourites , most were hopeful we could show some commitment and be happy in the 6-10 positions and build for next year .
Most peoples idea of a very successful season would have been hitting 5th or 6th
Are you now suggesting that because weve had one excellent result we should consider we can win the Prem ?
That escalated quickly ...
Do you at least except the premise that Quins do not control all the actual outcomes of a game?
Coupled with the premise of winning away from home being really tough?
Oh and the fact that this is the closest league season ever.
I would also add, that the premise of putting a winning run together would be great and if this team was expecting to be a top 4 team, then it is necessary - however as far as i can see, we're year 1 into a new regime - the current set up are still coming to terms with the make up of the squad and also the way they need to play - so i fear we will experience a fair few up and downs over this season and the next - but as long as over the seasons to come we make steady progress forward - that would be great.

By people who are strangely (mostly) silent now... until our next defeat when suddenly we'll be lucky to avoid relegation...
If we keep playing like that then we are a top 4 side.
Yes this is year one of the Gustard era and clearly morale, desire, commitment and quality of defence has improved enormously.Last night demonstrated we can attack pretty well as well.To finish 5th or 6th will be very satisfactory another higher a real bonus. After several years of misery visits to the Stoop are becoming enjoyable again.Well done to all concerned
We looked like a top 4 sure yesterday! If we keep playing like that then I think a top 4 finish is not unreasonable. We have a good squad that just hasn't been performing at anything like its potential but that does seem to be changing. Onwards and upwards, come on you Quins!

Yep. This is exactly how I feel.
There’s a huge improvement in defence and attitude and PG’s influence is increasingly apparent.
Our next two games are away to Tigers and the Big Game against Wasps. Neither of those sides are in any kind form and I’d like to think we can pick up two wins. If we can, our season is well and truly up and running.

I did enjoy the game.
I would like to believe with a bit more consistency a top 4 spot is possible. Im not expecting just think it's possible nothing wrong with that.
Do i think we can win the Prem because of one excellent result? No, i think i clearly stated no team could even dream of that until they win games consistently, that was the point i was making.

Thank You Rocker that was kind of the point of my post.

Again the point i am making.
I like feeling happy when we win, anyone care to join me? You’ll find me sat at the optimistic table

Yep! Save me a seat at the Optimistic table
Bearing in mind it wasn’t a full strength Exeter team, letting them back in the game like we did was very poor.
One win doesn’t mean anything unless the team back it up. Something they haven’t been able to do for a number of years now.
