Medical joker only applies if a player is out for 12 weeks or more in one season (or 8 weeks in one season if the injury spans 2 seasons).
If Allan is out for that long, it would perhaps suggest a significant head injury.
Cheers Yareet. In that case we are very thin at 10. Edwards as MotM was a bizarre call.
Edwards' passing was superb
I think that game was a perfect illustration of what Edwards is likely to be good at, and at the same time, not good at. Spotting gaps, good footwork and aggressive running. Distribution - good on the short line and hail mary stuff, but less so on the big picture, game management type of thing. What was interesting was that they were trying to compensate for this in the first half by having Andre as more of distributor, which didn't really work. In the second half, both Edwards and Andre reverted to more traditional 10/12 roles with Northmore sitting back a little more. This worked much better I think.
Not ideal cos he'd be wasted there, but don't forget that Steele is a 10 and David looks as though he could slot in at full-back.
If Edwards is coachable, he might turn out to be pretty decent given time. He's already not that bad as a third choice. Indeed maybe better than some of our past second choices...

Eh? Steele definitely isn’t a 10 and, David actually prefers 15 rather than it being a case of being able to ‘slot-in’.
