I wear wellies every day in winter for walking the dog. I have given up on Hunter. The quality has deteriorated since production moved to the Far East.

The best wellies i’ve owned are Aigle ISO Parcours. They are warm (they have neoprene insulation and a thick felt footbed) and at about £120 they’re in a similar price bracket to the limited edition Hunter wellies.

I think you may have missed the implicit theme of the thread which is - if you pay that much for a pair of wellies you’re a bit of a sucker...

I'll stick to my £10 wellies for dog walks. They do the job just as well.

There's a tiny quartered motif on the buckle, that possibly explains the extra £100

I thought that it couldn`t be a wellie boot at that price, how wrong can you be.

I thought you'd at least get 2 of them for that price...

Not just a wellington boot, but a Hunter Field wellington boot.  (https://www.hunterboots.com/gb/en_gb/page/hunter-field-harlequins/)

Although £135 for wellies seems a bit excessive...

COLLABORATION BRINGS TOGETHER TWO BRITISH BRANDS WITH RICH HISTORIES WITH A LIMITED EDITION BOOT AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER.

Harlequins is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hunter Field. The collaboration brings together two British brands with rich histories. Hunter was founded in 1856, 10 years before the formation of Harlequins, and is a company steeped in tradition yet one that remains a modern icon.

An exclusive iteration of Hunter’s iconic Balmoral boots for both men and women has been created to celebrate the partnership, with the Harlequins iconic logo printed onto the inside lining and team colours on the outside strap.

Alexandra Goldschmidt, Harlequins’ Commercial Director, said: “Hunter is a great partnership for the Club. This represents an authentic collaboration between two iconic brands.

“At Harlequins we are ambitious and innovative in everything we do. Like Hunter we have a great heritage but are continuously looking to progress. This will be a good partnership with a lot of exciting opportunities ahead for Harlequins and Hunter.”

Alasdhair Willis, Hunter’s Creative Director, said: “We have enjoyed a long history of being worn on rugby touchlines across the country and now we have a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with the one of the world’s most respected and recognised clubs. The partnership enables us to directly engage the global rugby community with Hunter Field, a vital part of the brand’s heritage and the home to our most technical footwear offer.”

The limited edition boots are priced at £135 and will be revealed and available on pre-order in September and to buy at the Hunter flagship store in London, at hunterboots.com and in the Harlequins store at The Stoop in October.
