You bought her?
-
I wouldn't even boot my wife once. She'd boot me back!
-
Yes I agree Sunday for the last home game of the season would be far preferable for us too. If we're going to have another season full of Friday evening ko's I might add well not have bought tickets for my children as they won't be able to come. Neither will my wife which means I might as well not have bought her once either! 😞

DOK, your adminness, when you get 5 can you please change the next match banner?
-
The reason used for no LDH is due to the refurbishment of Twickers. That to me is surely a smokescreen ... there are the internationals this season too. All of those games will have far bigger crowds
New east stand is up and running for the autumn internationals. Bookings for the new Clubhouse restaurant open on 24th July.
-
Glad the LDH is off, seen some of the comments on Twitter re “ The Clash” as it’s now Barf v Paddingtons, plenty saying what a good idea move two West Country teams to play in London. Would have made more sense to play in Cardiff
Still concerned we might have a USA fixture with our home game against Sarries as the appetiser

The reason used for no LDH is due to the refurbishment of Twickers. That to me is surely a smokescreen. The work has been going on at HQ for a year. We've had Internationals played there, along with BG10 while the work is going on, and there are the internationals this season too. All of those games will have far bigger crowds than the LDH gets, typically selling out or close to. LDH is lucky if it gets half full. Hopefully it gets knocked on the head completely.
They can put up as many smokescreens as they like as far as I am concerned, as long as we never have to play in another LDH again.
-
They can have a Midlands double header if they like.

What has happened to the big game at Twickers?
At least no London Double Header
The Big Game will be the game on Dec 29th against Wasps

That game is listed as 5th May (Sunday) at Welford Road......ffs
Tigers website has this game at the Stoop TBC for ko. Looks more like an error in Quins office.

Seen this re Army and Navy game
Copied from another Harlequins post
"We have provisional confirmation from Premiership Rugby that our Round 21 fixture against Leicester Tigers will be played at The Stoop on Friday 3rd May"

Sarries on 9th Oct is timed for NBC I think?
I was looking through the fixtures and thinking, crikey we've got a tough run in at end of the season then I started looking at all the fixtures and am thinking, crikey, we've got a tough start, middle and end...:(
-
good news we won't clash with Bath's home game at Twickenham Stadium, bad news our last home game of the regular season on the same weekend as the Army v Navy again.
I guess the kids will have to wait to play about on the pitch until after our home semi final!
Come on you Quins!!
Love the optimism! It's the hope that kills.... ;)

Big game being Wasps is good news.
But I cant believe theyre going to move the last game of the season to a Friday night. Surely this is one that has to be in the daytime. If need be a Sunday. Its usually one of the best days of the season with kids on the pitch etc.
Oh, I totally agree. I can totally understand that they want to move the game away from the Army/Navy game after last season, but we should lobby the club to move it to the Sunday.

So our home game aginst Saracens is in the USA! Im slightly annoyed. Im in process of buying a house so cannot afford to go abroad and one of our prime fixtures is being taken from me!
UPDATE- I read it worng, its at The Stoop but being broadcast to USA! Apologies.
that's a relief, would have been slightly miffed is that was the case.
-
Last home game of the season against Leicester, last time this happened wasn't it the championship season?

I'd much rather see it moved to the Sunday instead. That way folks with a distance to travel don't have to use the car, can enjoy a day in the sun, & socialise over a few beers afterwards.
Of course the other option would be for Premiership Rugby to allocate Quins an AWAY game the w/end of the Army v Navy game. Anyone know why the last game is so late (18th May)? It's not as if we are starting later.
True. They couldn't do it last season because every game of the final round has to start at the same time. Probably they want to keep it that clubs alternate between Home and Away games on the final round. As to why it's finishing so late, it probably has to do with the scheduling around European cup knock-out games?

the season seems to be finishing late - usually the last game is the fist Saturday in May. This time it is 2 weeks later
The final home game is being moved from the Saturday because it would clash with the Army/Navy game. So it does appear to be a week longer as a season, considering we clashed with that last season on the last w/e of the regular season...
Yh just realised, plus fair play to Quins they replied to me pretty quickly on Twitter:
"Our match against would clash with Army v Navy at Twickenham Stadium if played on the Saturday. Following feedback from supporters last season we have provisionally agreed to move it to Friday night."

Starting with a home game on Saturday at 3pm - can't be right??
Don't get too excited. The next three home games after that are evening kick-offs, 2xFriday 1xSaturday, and the club have tweeted they have provisional confirmation from Prem Rugby that our final home game will be played on Friday the 3rd of May.
2nd home game against Bath also a 3pm KO - but after that yes, not many Saturday 3pms lined up.

Try this for now, all of our fixtures:
https://www.quins.co.uk/news/201819-gallagher-premiership-fixtures-confirmed/
Quins have also said that:

I'd much prefer our last home game to be a Saturday.

The sarries game is on TV and also being streamed in America. Speaking of which, were we not supposed to be playing Sale in the US???

And the site's gone down...

And they're up!
https://www.premiershiprugby.com/fixtures/gallagher-premiership-fixtures/
Noticeable dates:
Sharks up first on the Saturday (No LDH as predicted).
Sarries on Saturday 9th October is at 7:30pm (Not a fan of Saturday evening games. Probably to do with TV (Could be one of the games that Channel 5 are going to show?)
Wasps for BG11 (shame, would've liked someone different for once)
Last home game in Round 21 is Tigers.
-
I'd like to have a different opposition for BG. We've had Tigers, Wasps, Sarries, Saints(x2), Exeter, LI(x2) and Gloucs(x2). It would be nice to see, say, Worcester being invited up for once.
Plus I'd like to see us have a decent fixture that we've got a good chance of winning as our last home game that ends up being scheduled on a Saturday afternoon so we can enjoy it on a nice sunny afternoon!
-
I can do Exeter, Bristol and Glaws away quite easily from here. Revving up.....
-
Will be interesting to see who we get for Big Game 11
-
The announcement of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby fixtures will once again take place at the top of BT Tower in central London, with the reveal taking place at 11am.
Once the fixtures have been shared with clubs, they are announced by Premiership Rugby
-
just start the day at the Coronation Tap and then fly to Ashton Gate! The whole day will seem like a dream!
-
I note the Bristol Beer Factory is only a couple of streets away.
And brews marvelous beers.

Bet we get Bristol at Ashton Gate. I'd rather not but I bet we do.
Thats a home game for me:)
-
One of the worst away days there is, miles from the harbour and the decent bars
Although the steam packet is decent, and as of last time won’t buy tickets through club
-

Probably, sems to be our lot. The promoted team or Northampton for us isn't it normally?
-
