I found a fare of £61 return (from LGW) with BA to Venice leaving Thursday returning Monday (with no hold luggage) - Stanstead is just miles if you're form south of the river in Surrey!
-
Been talking with some of the Trevisio supporters and the weather is expected to be around 10-12 degrees in the day but they have said it’s cold at night around 1-2 degrees
So prob not worth packing the shorts
They arent having a great season out of 10 games won 4 lost 6
So should be very even
And from talking on Friday night think that flight out of stanstead should be packed with Quins supporters
-
Nice - see you at the run. If I’m feeling lazy may get a taxi to the start or may just jog/walk there. Looks about 3 miles from the city centre...Looking at recent results it’s not the best attended Parkrun - usually about 15-20 are in!
Yes think the Quins crew could make a fair part of the crowd .... hopefully be better conditions than Bushy today
-
We are on the 12.55 from stanstead and yes 4 of us up for parkrun on Saturday

Mrs BQ has decided that we're staying in Venice so we're getting the train up on Saturday morning. Hope this is as good a trip as the Calvisano one, my liver still clenches at the memory!!!!
-
Why would you go all the way to Venice to go to a Celtic pub?
And now, having read the Quinssa email, I feel the need to apologise!
In answer to my own question, because it's a rugby pub in the vicinity of the stadium, and Quinssa have pre-warned them of their imminent arrival..
-
I was also planning on doing the Treviso Parkrun first thing on Saturday morning. Give me a shout if any runners want to head out with me

Thanks, Si - just round the corner from my hotel. Presume Friday night meet?
Well it would be rude not to do a quick look see on the Friday

Really looking forward to this trip.
I will also be on the early 6.20 flight from Stansted on Friday. I'll head to the Wetherspoons for breakfast too before the flight.
Am probably going to head straight into Venice from the airport on Friday to do some sightseeing as expect I will spend Saturday and Sunday in Treviso itself - plus I can't check in until the afternoon...

Will keep my eyes peeled on here and Quinssa for drinks meetups over there. It would be nice to meet some of you at some point!
See you in Spoons, not being rude but you can stick your run. I’ll be dropping bags then heading to Venice. Fri night will mainly be spent in the Celtic pub.

Probably - but I was trying to be helpful by providing as much information about the email as I could... in case, for example, J Scott's email provider was filtering the emails before they even got to his spam box.
I don't have any issue receiving the mails, but they clearly do :-)
Sor I didn’t see all these comments, they were going to spam in hotmail so they now have a more reliable emai address and I receive the weekly update. Also have 2 tickets through Quinssa. Cannot wait.
I am on the 0620 flight from Stanstead on Fri and getting Weatherspoon fry up and pint prior. Anyone else on that flight?
-
Any plans or ideas for meeting up in Treviso?

In case any of that helps your email provider ensure their emails do not get flagged as spam
Can't you simply look in your spam box from time to time and click the emails you want as 'not spam'?
-
Am thinking of suggesting this ticket discounting for women to Quins ....

I received an email on the 3rd October -
It was headed " Quinssa Mailer - Benetton Rugby away - 8th December "
I presume using their usual distribution list.

Silly question perhaps but do Quinssa have your email details, I receive an email every week?

Will be booking through Quinssa cannot wait my last away game was Stade Francais away and I drove from Germany and had a great night.
-
Ah I should have done a bit more research before booking :-(
Looking forward to this one though. Will be a great weekend!
Doesn't matter where you get your tickets or sit in the ground -so long as you are going ! it was just a 'heads up' to let you know it might be worth checking tickets through Quinssa for European away games . Sounds like there will be a good Quins support .

Quinssa have also taken a block booking of 300 seats - and always make great efforts with away tickets and usually arranging a prematch beer - might be worth checking out the Quinssa website and investing £5 pa for the info ..( apparently men in frocks don't qualify for the half price tickets - I did ask !)
Quinssa Info
We are pleased to confirm our ticket allocation for our game against Benetton Rugby on Saturday 8th December. Benetton Rugby club is in Treviso, about 25km north of Venice.
If you've been to a European Cup game in Italy before you'll know how special these occasions are. Our trips to Prato and Parma in recent years, in very different weather conditions, will live long in the memory of those that where there. Combine that with the opportunity to spend some time in beautiful Venice just before Christmas, and with easy transport links, what's stopping you from joining us?
Stadio di Monigo has a 5000 capacity and we have secured a block of 300 seats between the 10 and 22 yard lines in the West Stand. If we can fill the block we will have 20% of the stand!
As we are dealing directly with the club rather than the ticketing platform used in previous years, we are able to offer ticket at the following prices (member/non-member) rather than a single price for all.
Adult - £25/£27
Over 65 - £18/£20
Women - £13/£15
Under 18 - £10/£12
Under 8 - Free
Quinssa member price applies to Quinssa members only and there must be at least one current Quinssa member in your booking. Any non-members need to pay the non-member price.

Just a quick heads up on this for those that may not have noticed. It's possible to buy tickets for the Treviso away game online now. Go through the official Treviso site and there's a link to the relevant ticketone page where you can buy print at home tickets. I just got mine. Not expecting a problem in getting them before or on the day but just decided to go ahead and book to get a decent central-ish seat.
