Introduced to Quins by Mrs_B, she had a thing for Carling at the time :-) been going ever since and season ticket holder since 94/95.

I first started supporting Quins after we used to go to the Middlesex 7s as a family, must have been early 90s, as my first game at the Stoop was 1995 and I'd decided they were the team I was supporting by then. They used to play at Henley 7s as well, with a decent team, which was pretty cool

I cannot recall the year but Quins played Cardiff I think it was an Easter tour game held at Twickenham I asked my dad who was who and from that day I supported Quins possibly mid to late 80s.

1989 as a six year old and have only missed a handful of matches over the next 29 years.

I reckon I started going to the Stoop reasonably regularly around 1989/90 but growing up in Twickenham had been irregularly before that. 
Was certainly before the 1991 World Cup as I remember being so proud of the number of Quins (8??) in the final.  Was a season ticket holder for many years but gave it up a few years ago as family and work meant too difficult to get to enough games.

My pre-prep school used to cart us down to Twickenham from Chelsea to play rugby at either London Scottish or the Stoop, Athletics was normally at the Stoop in the summer. I kind of picked up a following from then. It looked very different of course....

First season ticket was 2004/5 ending in relegation. I remember sitting behind the sticks in the North stand watching that donkey Staunton fail to make what wasn't a difficult kick (he'd made plenty much more difficult ones earlier in the season and in that game)!

I love the fact the article says that as the tour to canada is only 5 matches, some of the 30 touring players will find themselves severely underplayed. how things have changed (unless I've misunderstood).

Huh! Thank you all for making me look at this! I was just looking for a picture of Sheasby with that patch which someone asked for on the other message board. In the process I saw this Sheasby's Signature (https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/391896307645_/Chris-Sheasby-ENGLAND-RUGBY-INTERNATIONAL-SIGNED-PHOTO-CARD.jpg) and realised it's one of the mystery signatures on a signed rugby ball my brother in law gave to me from some corporate jolly he was on! Now it's signed by Sheasby, Carling, Greenwood, Leonard, O'Leary - who'll make an opening bid? :)

If anyone asks we when I first started watching Harlequins, I say it was before the World 7s series in Scotland in the early 90s.
I know when I watched it that I'd already seen Andrew Harriman as a wonderful winger for the club, give him the ball and he ran like the wind.
But I never realised he took over the captaincy of the sevens from our very own Chris Sheasby!
