I have the information as akb1 last posted it on squad/contracts/injuries.
Does anyone fancy being custodian of this? Much as I'd love to, I have enough on my plate so am looking for someone to step up and keep this current through the next season. Unfortunately akb1 doesn't seem to have transferred over, and in any case probably deserves a rest from this.
I need a volunteer to step forward.....

AKB1 reporting for duty.

To clarify AKB1 is me and I will give it a go again

Have sent you the info if you want to start a new thread. I'll then add it to a sticky or some such.

You are AKB1 and I claim my £5!

I Need to work out how to keep the format as a table.
DOK there is a button for insert table, any ide how to use this?
Alternatively we can attach an excel file example attached --->[attachimg=1]

There's a button for tables. In the formatting buttons section above where you type your post, there's two rows of buttons. Look at the bottom line of buttons, fourth group of buttons, the left button there allows you to post a table :)

Thanks FF, I could see that, but when I paste the data in it doesn't retain a nice table format. I will have to play around with it.

It's probably to do with how the text delimitation is done. Try saving the data as a csv file (comma separated) as that's the most basic form of data separation that most programs understand...

I'll give that a try.

See my messing around in This message (https://comeallwithin.createaforum.com/general-discussion/testing-tables/msg416/#msg416)
I think it may be a bit challenging doing this as a table!
I'll try and mess with the [ code ] font, maybe we can just paste it in as text!

I took another look and it can be done, just needs a bit of time inserting tabs to align columns.
Alternatively we can post as a link to an excel sheet example in an earlier post, or I can post as a picture.
I will take a look over the weekend.

What'd they say?

Take a look at this https://www.teamopolis.com/tools/bbcode-table-generator.aspx
Do not click that the first row is header (even if it is)
Then just cut/paste the results into a message
(In your case best save it as a file too so you can edit it later)

nope, still don't understand how you did that easily, I can see how you create the table (number of columns and rows) but not how you easily insert the data in one big copy and paste.
-
Well answer is I cheated. I took results from Excel, cut/pasted them into an HTML editor to make the table. Then I used a "page", which is allowed to have native HTML instead of BBCode, and pasted the HTML into that.
-
ah OK, Im no techie so don't know how to do that stuff. I will get the squad list ready first and then worry about posting in a table.
-
Get it sorted in Excel, send it to me and we'll take it from there.
-
Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but that page table didn't scroll horizontally for me on the mobile layout... :(
-
Click on full site, press the "-" signs to get rid of left and right menus, turn the phone into landscape mode.
When you're finished, clear cache & cookies, you'll be back in mobile mode.

What'd they say?
Not sure but I think they're speaking Welsh?

I changed the way I do that - does that look any better? (https://comeallwithin.000webhostapp.com/2018/squad.html)
-
Yes that works, I have almost finished putting the list together just need to check and add some player details.
According to the team listing for the senior squad and the academy we have a squad size of 59 players.
-
How does this look? Contract dates need to be updated where known, I have included the academy in with the full squad and organised by position.

Great work, and your efforts are appreciated.
Looking at the list, my only area of real concern is at centre.

Yes, I see the issue. I've left a support call with the people who run this facility to see if there's any obvious tweaks we can do.
-
For the moment added the latest version into left hand menu but the mobile folk can just click here (https://comeallwithin.000webhostapp.com/2018/squad.html)

Maybe a bit late but might a link to a Google docs spreadsheet be easier that embedding a table here?

You don't need to do a link to google docs, we could just add an excel sheet in the message, but I think just opening the message and seeing it listed may be preferred, and now that it is formatted as a table it is easy to maintain.

I actually think this is the strongest we've been at centre for a while! Starting pairing would probably be 12 Saili, 13 Marchant - but suddenly I can see options to change things up. We have a ball playing 12 in Lang - something we haven't had, you could argue, since the days of Greenwood. Cheeseman to 12 gives us serious go forward up the middle with a quicker Marchant/Saili outside. Tapuai I think will find himself on the fringes of selection but if he's our backup option along with Alofa then I think it's all looking quite rosy really. To illustrate, here's what I deem to be a few of our best centre partnership options in order of (my) preference - although obviously it will depend greatly on who we're playing and what style we're looking to execute...
12 Saili
13 Marchant
12 Lang
13 Saili/Marchant
12 Cheeseman
13 Marchant/Saili
...with Tapuai, Alofa as injury backups/bench options.
-
Agree that for once we look pretty well covered at centre.
Scrum half on the other hand looks worryingly weak. Would not want to go into the season with the list of scrum halves that we currently have - we need a really solid back up to Care.
-
Do we think Calum Waters will be promoted to first team action this year? He looks like a good prospect and must be graduating from the academy this year or next?
