Result is secondary??
Poor results have resulted in LI losing players and a crowd that is half what is was in 2010.
It has also resulted in dwindling crowds at Worcs.
I agree I do not mind if we front up and lose but having gone to Saints on Friday I did not think we played very well against a team that will be in the relegation battle with us.
Gussie I am sure will say the positive things and look to instill confidence in the side and on the plus side last season we would have been very unlikely to get a BP.

That's a bit harsh. It was a pretty good performance imho.

Context is everything. I take his comments as him being pleased with how they applied themselves, particularly in defence vs. the situation he inherited. The performance wasn't by any means a classic but the same situation last season would have likely seen a 20+ point defeat and a host of yellow cards.
I also don't see how we can determine who will be in the relegation battle at all yet as aside from Exeter and Sarries, nobody has shown themselves to be particularly good or awful. 3rd downwards is up for grabs.

What Gustard is getting at is that results are a by-product of good attitude, cohesion, right tactics and doing basics right. Doesn't mean you'll always get the results, but it's those things you have to do well first and foremost!

Pretty obvious really.

I believe the poster complaining in the second post (first reply) on the topic is in fact a well-known troll from our previous board.
