......I'm far more interested in getting a good DOR who can put an end to this frankly pathetic mindset of choosing which games to bother getting up for, and instil some much needed values along the lines of work ethic, commitment, intensity, fight, defence and basics.

I was checking with a couple of guys at my local club after my daughter's training session earlier this week. We were all agreed that recent performances have been frankly embarrassing. One of them was amongst the many who left early during the Tigers match. He said it was the first time he done that in over 20 years as a season ticket holder. His comment was along the lines of it the players can't be arsed to put in the effort he can't be arsed to watch them....

How did he fail at Quins?

He spent 10 years at Harlequins, in a variety of coaching roles was head coach in 2016/17 with Kingston as DoR, and when he left was academy coach, we finished 6th when he was head coach, so he was not a crash and burn failure, more a steady reliable coach but not necessarily a leader.
He is probably best suited in a pathway development role, would be a decent head of the academy, but would be nervous of him in any high level coaching position or as DoR.

This would be a completely out of touch and backwards step appointment. Will not be renewing if this happens. Need the best out there, and he’s already failed once at Quins when he was given more responsibility

Hang on he’s done really well with the U20’s as a coach, don’t get all the negativity

As Rugbycat says, not recently. The U20s have been a mess and their skills have been below the expected standard. Unfortunately he'd be a real backwards step.
