Andre appreciation!
« on: »
I personally think he’s the most underrated centre in world rugby. Him not getting selected for South Africa is a complete mystery. Starting to get the recognition he deserves making team of the weeks ect. We need to cling onto him for as long as possible. I think in two three years he will be regarded as the best 12 in world rugby and have the starting berth locked down for SA. We are currently Very lucky to have him playing week in week out not missing for international duty.
His skill set for a bloke that’s bigger than all of our back rows is ridiculous.
I know many Quins fans are of similar mindset but you heard it here first officially , in two years he will be regarded as one of my he best talents in world rugby.

But then you can't play him and DeAllende in the same team and he's pretty damn good too.  Am is a rather special talent too.... It's more that SA have 3 ridiculously good centres....
But yes André is a very impressive player, skills, peace and power 👏

Don't rule out Jesse Kriel. A ridiculously hard running centre who punches above his weight in defence.

And although he's at the end of his career, Frans Steyn still offers a huge amount. Although I think he'll play more at full back, primarily due to his defensive skills, and his kicking skills, which are frankly inhuman.

Andre's status is similar to Nick Evans' back in the day. He'd walk into most international teams (including England, provided he strategically elbowed Farrell first) except the one he's qualified for.
