According the TRP the Sharks are circling looking to take him home.

What would popular opinion be?

I’d be a  disappointed however if he’s keen to move then let him go free up a huge chunk of cash as it would show where his head is. Although we already know he wants more Bok caps and can’t begrudge him that.

We need to make him part of the spine of our team, we looked so different this season with him in there.

A must keep for me

From reading it, seemed a bit like guesswork. Sharks now have money, they would like him back etc.  The part where it said it hadn't really worked out for him this season is wrong imho, apart from the silly red it's been great. I think this is stirring again.

He's come to quins for the salary and doubt it would be matched in SA. He's what we need in midfield and gives Smith a viable option to build momentum with his crash ball.

He'll need to keep his elbows to himself of course!

In a article at the start of the season, he said something along the lines of “I don’t want to talk negative about South Africa, however, I have a young family” he goes on to say that they feel a lot safer here and he didn’t want to be away from home as much as super rugby and liked that Quins was by Heathrow. I would be surprised that he changed his mind on this.

You would think the only thing that would affect him staying at Quins is if the new DoR regime doesn't want a bish bash bosh kind of inside centre in the mould of Esterhuizen and Lasike.

He's only just joined on a very lucrative contract and the domestic game in SA is in a bigger mess then most. I'd be surprised if there is anything in this.

He's a quality player and I'm hoping we'll see him in a Quins shirt for many seasons to come. Takes multiple opposition players to bring him down and he's got the handling skills and vision to get the ball away under pressure.

I think what we’ve seen is he has the potential to make an impact, but how effective he is really depends on his own discipline. Let’s face it we’ve not had a great 12 since JTH left, in the way a player is cemented in the side and we are doing everything to keep him.

I think this is a non starter, unless they buy his contract out. Lasike is a good option for 12 but we should be looking to shift on Taps first, I literally don’t know what he does or recall much brilliance, so another Quins squad filler type player who has really bad injury no chance of pushing to start anyway.

I could see Taps and Campegnero leaving with Lang. That would leave us with

Andre
Lasike
Marchant
Northmore
Lennox
Beard
Murley

as options.  I think that is plenty and will give us some cap space to spend elsewhere.  Plus If Herron does join Lang in leaving I would not be surprised if we brought in a FH/CEN like Lang so that would be another option
