That's a bit more like it though the 2 best 8s in the Premiership are both still on the bench. I'd have:
4. Maro Itoje (Saracens, 50 caps)
5. Courtney Lawes (C) (Northampton Saints, 89 caps)
6. Tom Curry (Sale Sharks, 35 caps)
7. Sam Underhill (Bath Rugby, 26 caps)
8. Alex Dombrandt (Harlequins, 3 caps)

With Underhill off the bench after 60 minutes to run tired Bok legs into the ground

Got a feeling we are going to be outmuscled and schooled in the pack. Without a powerful ball carrier in Dombrandt or Simmonds I think Curry will be made to look average.

Backs not too bad but would of preferred Quirke and Radwan if fit to start, as i would rather have quick elusive runners than trying to out armwrestle them

Honestly I'm beginning to see Lawes as a real 6. Underhill's not in good form and missed hatfuls of tackles against the Aussies. Lawes/Curry/Dombrandt gives you a great mix and a plethora of lineout options to boot, plus it allows us to pick the neanderthal power of Hill in the second row.

Joe's going to have a tough time against Mapimpi, but he's an excellent defender so fingers crossed - and I really hope we get to see what he can do with ball in hand.

I agree with you Jammy - I think that is a well balanced back row. Power, line-out options, jackling and ball-handling all covered off.

You’ll get no arguments from me on that. Still not sure how he’s a Lion.

Likewise, I don’t feel Ewels has done enough to justify 23 😳 caps. However, I’m also not sure what other English 5s there are. Said before that we need Launchbury and Kruis back asap.

I'd agree to an extent, but Lawes at lock over Hill is more of a benefit than lawes at 6 over underhill.

I'd still like to see Lawes in the second row, Hill on the bench, Ewels nowhere near the squad and proper backrow. Quirke at 9 and a 5/3 split on the bench. Otherwise, given the injuries in the front row and to Radwan, that's a decent team

So Eddie said one of his biggest regrets from the World Cup final was not starting Joe Marler against the Bok pack.....so now he does exactly the same and will get the same result.

Just because he's has a week off, he hasn't forgotten how to scrummage or lost his fitness. Madness, again.i can understand Radwan as their backline is big but Quirke has shown against big players that he can hold his own. Slow ball equals arm wrestle and big carriers are needed.

Maybe Marcus can bring the all court game and keep them moving. Look out for the cheap shots please sir!

Yeah, totally agree. How Marler is not starting against the springbok pack is beyond me.
