Highest paid players

Interesting list in Wales online this morning.

The best-paid rugby players in the world as Finn Russell offered mega deal
Scotland fly-half Finn Russell would become the highest paid player in the game if he was to accept a reported offer from Japan

The takeaways for me are:
1) Quins' best players are a bargain in comparison (though I can't imagine Marcus not being on this list when his next contract is negotiated)

2) How do Bristol do it? They've got three players on this list and that's before you include the likes of Sinckler and Afoa. Are they just paying their remaining players very poorly?

3) Saracens still have two on the list and also a good squad. It'll be interesting to see how they look next season, though.

2) Could 2 of them (Luatua and Radradra) be marquees? I think Piatau came straight from Wasps so couldn’t be.

Piutau was at Ulster between Wasps and Bristol I believe... which would most obviously make him one of their marquees.

If that’s right then Marler, Wilco, Andre and Nacho Ramjet are all on less than £300k, which is an absolute bargain.

If Bath are paying Jonathan Joseph £325k a year they’re being taken for a ride, that’s a gross waste of salary cap.

Isn’t Wilco are marquee? Can’t believe it is Levies or are we paying them all in SAR?

The one I found interesting was that Mike Brown is going to be in a lot of money at Newcastle next year. Also I think I read in the rugby paper that Andre is on £270,000.

Well we know that is not true as Brownie said he told Deano he just wanted the going rate for FB. For him it was not about the money.

Yes sorry misread that I saw Mike Brown. But I do remember that Andre is on 270,000
