You're not seriously turning down a world class player because of some rude comments on twitter when he was a teenager?

The article mentions London Irish and Munster are also interested in signing him. Can’t see Munster being a realistic option after supposedly blocking PSDT’s move for next season and the fact Matera would continue to be heavily involved in the Argentina set up so would miss a fair bit of the season. But like others have said, I don’t think I’d want Matera at Quins. If we’re after back row players from Stade Francais, I’d much rather try and get Kremer.

Its not for this season coming, but the season after that (2022/23). The Rugby Paper said we are looking for a "Big name signing" and are interested in him (as are Irish and Munster).  Im guessing that may be when Cares new deal runs out

Isn’t Tapuai rumoured to be a marquee player? If he’s off (no basis for that suggestion beyond this board), then Matera could join on that basis

I’d be surprised if Tapuai was signed as a marquee player. We had Saili join us the season before Taps and I think it’s much more likely to have been him.

Saili was a marquee and Esterhuizen has replaced him. Not sure who the other is (if it’s still two?)

Read what I said.   No thanks “even before” those comments.  I know someone that has played with him and he’s an bottom apparently.  The stuff on Twitter was more than just rude BTW.
