Though Dino Lamb did well, as did Baby Chis and Lawday. Clifford looked good and made A difference when coming on.
Back three looks awesome. Very excited about Ibotye he looks like he could really kick on this season. Imagine him with Goneva! Brown or Morris at full back. That is some back three.
Agree with the praise for Morris and Ibitoye. Both started with intent and played with trickery and confidence. Marchant was brilliant too. Lovely tries scored and some decent defence throughout.
The big issue for us was how many times we dropped the ball! James Chisholm played really well but dropped 2. Auterac had a good break and dropped it. Bristol had a couple as well.
The Stoop was good. It was nice to be back! Only Adidas stuff available in the shop at present. The pie shop in the SW corner has been replaced with a pasty shop, which is a bit of a shame.
Lastly, there were some utter morons in front of us who were singing football chants, abusing the Bristol subs and swearing. They were even singing to ask who wanted them kicked out! Utterly obnoxious idiots who I hope will not be welcomed back. They are an embarrassment to the club if they call themselves Quins fans.
I think they were probably the same dickheads who got booted out for pissing all over the floor in the west stand toilets. A sadder inch I've rarely seen at a match.

On a positive thought Morris, and Gabs looked good last night and also Mulchrone, and a really good turnout for whilst some call it Mickey Mouse Cup, the Rugby certainly wasn’t
It looks like the "in" tactic, as evidenced by both teams, is the box kick upfield followed by the chase and hope to make ground/recover the ball. Our defence was good (well, better than Bristol's) but it was a trifle tedious to watch. Thank the Lord for Ibitoye to brighten up a dull evening.
Saddened by the loss of the pie shop from last season had been looking forward to beef and horseradish pie, chips and peas. Sadly not to be. Early sign look promising the match went a i thought it might, stop/start but at least its finer detail that needs work and our D looked ok.
There were definitely some kids enjoying their first beer without daddy in there last night.

Very dissapointed the pie stall had gone, went to the pasty stall instead ordered a Steak and Ale pasty, took a bite and it was a cornish pasty, took it back and was replaced, took a bite out of the replacement pasty, it was a cornish pasty again, went back and again it was replaced but it was another cornish pasty, decided to just eat it, but it wasn't a very good.

Bristol dropped it a lot but played a hard game and we kept them out for 39 min and nilled them on the second half (?)
I was genuinely excited to see the changes and be back 'home'

I thought the game was much less scrappy than most first games of the season. Our defence was well on top all game and we had some genuine danger in the backline.
On the downside, the set piece was not great and I really do worry about Ibitoye's defending.
We nilled them in the second half if you ignore their late try which had shades of the 'defence optional' play that we suffered from for a couple of seasons.
The attendance was pretty good for a Friday night non league game.

Agreed - the music was way too loud where I sit in the stadium. Before the game and at half time I struggled to hold a normal conversation with my son, sitting next to me. I go to the Stoop to watch the rugby & spend time with my son, not to have crap music ('Rhythm of the Night' ?) blasted at me.
While some of us are having a bit of a moan about things at the stoop apart from the rugby, I would like to add my frustration with the misleading emails I’m sent telling me that it’s £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors when it isn’t. If you purchase your ticket before the game from the ticket office it’s £3.00 more . It doesn’t say anywhere on my communications from the club advertising this that this is the case. If you are told the tickets are £7.50 or £15.00 then that’s what they must sell them for surely. I sent an email to the club when they did this last year and they ducked out of the issue with a bit of waffle about making it clearer in future . But they haven’t. Arguing at the front of a long queue isn’t really on for the people behind so I didn’t.If I had more time on my hands I would pursue this further. Where is the post match survey they normally send out.
Ibitoye was very keen to get involved. His all round game is improved but still a few things to work on. I thought Baby Chis looked a bit lethargic to be honest. Lamb seems to have bulked up and put himself about a bit.Much as people are praising Morris - who had a good game - for me the best player was Marchant. He just looks a class above the rest. I was also pleased with Herron - he's happy to throw himself into tackles and his kicking from hand was pretty effective.
