customerservice@quins.co.ukI too found the volume pretty ear splitting, and was wondering whether to have a word.
I think I will and would be grateful if others joined me.
Who runs this side of things (catering) for Quins?
What happens if you email them and ask what happened to the pie stall?
The two DJs got on my nerves last night. What a awful din!
The outside catering used to be run by Ollie Kohn and his brother under the Jolly Hog banner but it appears they've lost the gig now which is a big shame, no more pie shop or pulled pork stand, a retrograde step and we won't be eating there again as nothing available appeals now.
Same old, same old in the Members bar, ran out of the only decent beer (Yardbird) before half time and staff as poor as ever. Again. we'll be taking our custom outside the ground, they don't deserve our custom
I liked the DJ's, thought it was a good touch!
Ibitoye was very keen to get involved. His all round game is improved but still a few things to work on. I thought Baby Chis looked a bit lethargic to be honest. Lamb seems to have bulked up and put himself about a bit.Much as people are praising Morris - who had a good game - for me the best player was Marchant. He just looks a class above the rest. I was also pleased with Herron - he's happy to throw himself into tackles and his kicking from hand was pretty effective.
Agree with all the above, thought Youngs looked good especially as a lineout option (boy do we need that) but Saunders was poor
i sit in the north stand and couldn't hear a thing, i think the speakers in our stand were not on so anything the announcer said was muffled.
also noticed there wasn't any clocks working for the game so couldn't see how long was left etc.
I will contact the club to pass this on

Yes, that was very weird!!! Could barely hear anything from the PA - no songs, no announcements, nothing!!!
Back to the game itself, I haven't had a chance to watch the recording back, but it seemed to me that our scrum halves weren't hassling the opposition SH & No8 on opposition scrums. Instead they dropped to the back of our side of the scrum to defend. Not sure if that's a deliberate change to our defense patterns. Anyone have any thoughts about that? Also we didn't always compete on their line-out either...

We hardly ever seem to compete on the opposition lineout, certainly not with much intent anyway, and never when defending a 5m one. One of my main bugbears, as we don't compete but we invariably have no success in stopping the ensuing maul either.

I am pleased to inform you that you didn't miss anything.
