Still in the market??
« on: »
Austin Healey just suggesting in commentary today that we're still in the shop and players may be coming in after the WC?
Any thoughts?

He said "maybe" we are. Sounded like he didn't know any inside information.

I hope we are, we really could do with more 2nd rows! As I said at the end of last season, I can't imagine that Kev's retirement was planned or known about before our recruitment was done and dusted, it sounded very last minute, so we should have some cap space (or marquee money) left for a decent replacement. From the looks of the second row on Friday we could do with some biiger lumps.

Don’t forget Snyman and Symonds .  We might need the cash next year so can’t spend it this.

We haven't got Snyman unless I missed something? We've got Stephan Lewies but we haven't seen him play yet?

Doh!  It’s all the talk of us getting him. Of course it’s Lewis’s. Maybe Snyman next year. Agree about having bigger lumps they did look a bit lightweight although Lamb looked bigger but that might be because the others aren’t that massive.

I have heard a rumour - perhaps I missed it on here over the summer - that Alan Wyn Jones is coming to Quins after the RWC...

Other "rumour" I heard (for cricket fans planning to go to Sri Lanka in second half of March) - first test almost definitely in Galle, second in Colombo...

Sadly not , he signed a new Ospreys contract in July for 2 seasons .
