Would TOTALLY prefer....
« on: »
To be overwhelmed by an exciting Bristol team in a semi, rather than mauled to death by the snore bores at Exeter! NOT that it will happen because OBVIOUSLY we will win either!!! ;)

Chiefs scored 12 tries against Falcons this afternoon and only 2 were line drives. They were chucking it all over the pitch and slicing Falcons apart. Hardly a boring maul fest.

Do you mean we will win both, or do you really mean that we will win either one or the other?

Agree with the sentiment. If you gave me the choice of a Bristol or Exeter season ticket it'd be the Bears hands down.

I also think we have a slightly better chance of beating Bristol than Exeter in a knock out game. Exeter have been there and done it and have big game experience. Bristol are more likely to be lured into an unstructured game and trading tries, which could suit us (equally Radrandra could  rip us a new one)

This is true. However, they were playing against Falcons’ 2nd string.

The side they put out today was quite a lot worse than the one we were criticised for playing against Ulster.

I’d prefer to play against Bristol. In an end-to-end game where attack is paramount, we stand a decent chance. In an ultra-physical arm wrestle, I’m not so sure.
