Perhaps somewhat cynical on my part, but is this careful/strategic publicity from his agent because his contract expires in June 2019?

Well maybe he should have matured earlier and he wouldn't have been sacked. Which seems to have upset him but that's what happens in the grown up world when you don't perform or turn up to work on time. No one gives a damn if you "care" or not they want you there and they want you performing!

Especially if they're paying for you to be there and you're not! However, as I say, I'm glad he seems to have got his act together now. A tough way to learn a lesson maybe, but as long as it is learned.
