So they announce yesterday as England semi final takes place Saracens director Nick Leslau is stepping down from his role after 20 years with the club.
In TRP today it covers what was said by the mail, that findings of independent enquiry will be released after World Cup as possibility that some players may have to find new contracts due to salary overspend and talk of up to 35 points being deducted

Wonder what has been found and will anything actually happen

He is a Commercial property investor with his own funds and company. According to D.Tel personal friend of Wray and investor in Sarries. In Sunday Times rich list.

Let me guess, the loans are simple commercial deals with a commercial property investor with no links at all to Saracens Rugby Club.

Probably a slap on the wrist. “ up to 35 points”.... if that occurs I imagine it will be a single digit figure at best

So, when the findings are made public, Salarycens will now be able to say "We confirm that the commercial property investor with whom certain players are financially involved has no links at all to Saracens Rugby Club ..."? and "These findings relate to historic arrangements with which the club no longer has any involvement .."? "Just a thing of the past — nothing to see here — let's all move on shall we?" Very clever!

It's the same as the last time they got caught. The South African bloke they had in (he of the fat woman singing jape) took the fall for that and nothing further was done.

The punishment will be against the club, not the individual. Although I can see them trying to show remorse and taking some action, it's akin to being the getaway driver at a robbery, and trying to shirk responsibility by selling the car.

Just to point out that Leslau isn't the individual who's involved in the "side deals" with players. Wray is in the frame for that.

If they have been found guilty they should have 35 points deducted for each year it happened!

Does anyone think anything will happen? Saracens will have the whole England team within 12 months backed up by multiple Saffers and other internationals. Plus it will all be within the salary cap.

I don't believe anything will happen I'm sad to say 😥😡 there will be a whitewash and a fudge and a cover up. Sarries will continue to overspend and get away with it.

I think its got to the point now where something has to happen and if it's not just, I can't see the remaining CEOs/Directors standing for it, based on their previous stances. I foresee boycott action if that is the case.
