Agreed. I was booing and jeering our useless players for the first 70 minutes as I'm a rugby chap and have been going to The Stoop for many years.

As for the try, I don't know what the law is that everyone thinks they know, but as Ben Kay said in commentary, surely if Aled Brew is in front of Earle, he can run whichever support line he likes? I think (don't know) that possession of the ball is important here as he is running in support rather than running to try and gain possession.
But the thing that narked me is that achieving what the fans did meant that some felt vindicated for their constant and vitriolic criticism of the ref and felt it gave them validation to get even worse. As I've said, I didn't think he was bad, but I did suggest to the guy close to me that we weren't losing 35-15 because of him.
It's actually worth nothing that we got more penalties in our favour than Bath. And a yellow card for Rokoduguni.
And we all seem to be skipping over the abuse of the away fans, which was pretty appalling.
I didn't notice any abuse of the away fans, but I don;t think you can expect boring fans showing bad sportsmanship to acknowledge that they are boring fans who show bad sportsmanship.
Genuine question here. Not a comment on anyone's post! What is the law on obstruction? From my viewpoint (South Stand, sorry) Brew was definitely changing his running line to stop Earle not simply running a support line.
Which stand was the abuse taking place in? Didn't see or hear anything like that in the DHL.
What abuse of away fans? Where do you sit?

Lighten up a bit. Rugby is no longer the private reserve of the private boarding school educated oxbridge graduate of the elite who have double barrel surnames and posh first names of Tarquin, Percy and Alfred who just clap politely and say phrases such as "bang on, jolly good show". It is open to the masses and rabble of council born degenerates such as myself.
If we see injustice we will voice it, that "try" was directly in front of me. He was not running a supporting line but a blocking line and looked over his shoulder to make sure our defensive player did not have an opportunity to try to stop the try and he physically touched him to keep him at bay. It was that which was judged illegal. It did not have a final bearing of the result but it galvanised the players to push for 2 extra tries and obtain the bonus points which probably would not happen if the TMO did not convince the referee to check.
Now as a voice for the south stand, I do not agree of the abuse of players, coaches, opposing supporters or making as much noise as possible to put off a kicker. I also do not like the current attitude of people in other stands looking their nose down on us South stand supporters either. We are all Quins through and through and will support the team vocally.
Now I'm off to the pits to dig out coal.
I’d rather sit next to fans in the south stand than have people behind me like yesterday. Nothing wrong with them as people but they sat down saying “yes they are our company’s seats” and chatted throughout the game. It was like being trapped in Made in Chelsea with no off button.
Love my posh seat (being relatively posh), but I’d rather everyone around me was there because they were interested in the match.

Quite right, I’m relatively new to the forum by a few months but have been watching Quins at The Stoop for a while, and I have to say I don’t get why some people seem to be throwing handbags regarding what seems to be one stand vs the other nonsense blame game. Nothing comes from entirely one stand, and further more the stands are so big it’s impossible for one to say nothing came from their stand. We are Harlequins supporters as a whole who shouldn’t be divided by stands vs stands nonsense blame games.
And please don’t get me wrong, I totally agree with not wanting Rugby to evolve into Football in regards to distasteful crowd behaviour verbally. As DazzaS quite rightly stated, abuse of players/coaches/referees/fellow supporters, and trying to put off kickers shouldn’t happen nor be tolerated, but if you disagree with something and you feel it has injustice too right voice it.
Civil War at Quins. STAND your ground all. I like an atmosphere. Place was very quiet at times yesterday.
I think there were a number of reasons why the South Stand was particularly vocal, firstly the blocking run unfolded in a straight line in front of us and we could clearly see the intent and it came on the back of aouple of earlier breakdown situations where Bath were clearly entering from the side but invisible to the officials. Also there were two groups of Bath supporters who got to their feet and started winding up the Quins supporters nearby. Both groups were in their early 30s. As far as I could make out it ended there.

Ben Kay said on Twitter that he’s actually not sure either way that he got it right or wrong on Twitter, had the Bath player not constantly looked over his shoulder to make sure he was blocking then there would have been no problem.

Where was the abuse and directed at whom?
Abuse clearly unacceptable.
Booing that decision at that time in the game when the Bath player so blatantly checked over his shoulder and body checked the chasing runner twice and took two further changes of direction. Perfectly acceptable.
We sit in the West stand and could see it clearly in play.
