Hopefully they will announce the music act soon.
Then they can really go to town with the marketing.
Hope it does well ---we could do with the revenue.

I am not confident there even will be a music act. Normally Laurie says at the AGM it will be announced soon. But this time not a word. There has not even anything about merchandise. I am wondering if Quins are writing this one off and not wanting to spend more money in order to reduce the losses they will inevitably make.

Harlequins can confirm that Toby Booth will depart from his season-long consultancy role at the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.

Booth, former Ospreys Head Coach and London Irish Director of Rugby, arrived at the Club in September 2025 in week one of the Gallagher PREM season as part of the coaching changes following Danny Wilson’s departure.

In his second spell at Harlequins, Booth has undertaken the role of Forwards Consultant and has worked closely with Adam Jones to make an important contribution to the development of the Club’s forward talent this season.

“Harlequins is a great club with rich history. It has strong roots and a loyal supporter base, things I have always championed and believed in. I jumped at the chance to come back, even just for a short spell,” said Booth

“Despite the recent frustrations I am sure the good times are just around the corner, I will enjoy watching the team’s progress from Hong Kong!”

Chief Executive, Laurie Dalrymple said: “We’d like to thank Toby for his contribution during his time at Harlequins. Stepping into the group at a late stage is never easy, but Toby brought immediate impact through his experience, professionalism and deep understanding of the Club, having been here previously.

“Beyond his coaching, Toby is an outstanding person who has added real value to the environment, both on and off the field. He has been a pleasure to work with once again.

“Toby remains committed through to the end of the 2025/26 season and we will be aiming to build on the good work he has done throughout his time at Harlequins. On behalf of everyone associated with the Club, we’d like to wish him well in his next chapter.”

The Club's review of Performance and Coaching structure continues, and further updates will be communicated in due course.

Good. He’s doing well with Chinnor but we don’t need another head coach with no top level experience

last year was the first time I really questioned value for money, reduced home games, friday night games I cant always get to due to work, two home games at twickers with worse seating than I pay for at the stoop, couple that with such a poor performance on the pitch, now thinking do I give up after 33 years as a season ticket holder and just do pay as you go. Several around us have already decided to do that. I always thought LD seemed to have a good handle of things from a club finance side but dear god the playing side is a complete mess.

I normally rate Pitbull too, but I don't go along with the point raised. There's a salary cap of around £6Mn at the moment : that's already proven too much for one or more former clubs (- at least in part.)

Intuitively you may want to reduce the cap so that more clubs can afford to compete, running against the need to pay some top salaries in a global market. Maybe you'll find an equilibrium somewhere.

If you raised the cap to say £20 Mn then only one or two clubs will easily afford it. Raise  it to £100 Mn and there's a salary cap, but  in reality there isn't.

And of course, we seem to be ignoring the accumulated debts of Premiership clubs and current annual deficits - as is.

How many supporters want to pay more per game to pay for this raised cap? How much more productivity do you get from paying  a player 2 mil versus 1 mil per annum?

Tons of space to come along to watch matches in the Championship if the Premiership deliberately prices itself out the market. Or even rugby in the park for nowt.
