The exception being Dan Cole. Possibly the slowest player I've seen on a rugby pitch, and aside from scrummaging, seems to do a lot of staring at rucks.

Kitshoff is a loosehead.
The stormers are blessed with an abundant of excellent props. Wilco is a good player and strong scrummager.
If quins had a choice of any prop from the Stormers the best player by far would be kitshoff.
There were strong rumours that we (Sale) were in for Kitshoff last summer and I think he re-signed in SA.
The question is who will get their Kitshoff first?
I used to keep all stats from prem games and compare stats for the whole league, but then espn started using their ridiculous calendar system and stopped counting kicks from hand so I get fed up. Getting a round of stats went from 10 mins to about an hour. I think they wanted to stop people scraping data, I can only assume that was the reason, because the presentation is horrific.
I wouldn’t say solid. What I will say is he is less worse on the wing.
At FB he has never inspired confidence and when asked this season has been very poor. Morris isn’t 100% and I still wouldn’t start him next season as first choice but he is an acceptable standard to play FB.
Ross is the epitome of jack of all trades master of none, can physically play the position but long term you wouldn’t too much responsibility on his shoulders
The real shame is that since Ross had his serious knee injury, he's been hit and miss. He can do some great stuff, then do something ridiculous. AT one time he was the player I'd trust most to track back and put in a try-saving tackle - in fact that's what happened just before his injury. For all his faults, he's a good player to have as he covers a number of positions to a good standard. Some of his errors can be blamed on others too - he dropped a dreadful pass on the wing at the weekend - but confidence is a big thing for players, once it's lost it can take a while to get back.

He rarely gets a run of games in the same position, which isn't going to help, but he's an honest trier.

Robshaw is irreplaceable. But that's one hell of a good try. He is simply superb.
Du Toit would be a big ‘statement’ signing, but I’m not sure whether the back row is where I’d be investing that kind of money.
Obviously Robshaw will be a massive loss, but we have Chisholm, Lawday, Evans and Clifford who can play at 6 or 7, as well as Kunatani if we do keep him.
I’d sooner we looked at getting a proper replacement for Brown/in the back three and some more quality depth at lock.
Am I the only one getting very fed up with more news about overseas signings? Very sad that we seem to have completely lost our way on bringing through Academy and attracting decent English players. Fine to have 2 or 3 good overseas players but we are trying to exceed the number Sale have.
Our Academy had not served us well over the last 5 to 10 years. I'm glad we're looking at good class foreigners.

Exactly. While I’d love to see a greater element of academy talent coming through, the conveyor belt has certainly slowed over the last decade. I’d like to think the club is doing all it can to improve the academy output though.
A healthy blend of both home grown and bought is exactly what we want. I for one am really starting to think we are serious about being consistently competitive in top 4. We have enough talent coming through.
